“Holland”

When I was in the beginning years of having a son with autism, I struggled to find the words to explain what it felt like for me as a mom. One day, I read this poem and found it to be a beautiful metaphor for me and many other parents. The poem is called “Holland” and this painting is my visualization of those same feelings.
