“Casale Poggio”

A little back story about my painting, “Casale Poggio”. In 2022 I went to Tuscany for an Art Retreat hosted by abstract artist, Jodie King.
Right outside of Città della Pieve sitting on a hill was this is the amazing home we stayed in for the retreat. It is roughly 400 years old and the sunsets every night felt like we were watching heaven. I really did want to name this one “Under the Tuscan Sun” but I know that has been a bit overused by now.
So the name “Casale Poggio” is Italian and roughly translates roughly to “old house on a hill”.
Painting this brought back so many great memories. It took me back to that amazing week with some incredibly talented and wonderful women. Memories I will cherish forever.
